[Eren Jaeger is nothing if not stubborn, and it does occur to him first that Aubrey might be reaching for him for his own safety. This is a man who’s always hated it when others try to care for him. But then it occurs to him that she’s reaching for him for a different reason. She’s trembling so badly, and he’s only marginally better. She’ll be warmer - much so - if he gets closer. The fact that he’ll be warmer too is incidental.
